Distriktsbygning designet af Eduard Van Steenbergen senior; planer udarbejdet i 1947-48, udførelse i 1956-64 under ledelse af Edward Van Steenbergen junior. Fritstående T-formet kompleks med bred forbygning, den såkaldte repræsentative del med to etager, flankeret af lave gange med udstillingsrum og Fredscentrum; central tårn på 39 meter - symbolske funktion! - blandt andet som indpakning for ventilations- og varmekanaler; smal bagbygning med fem etager, den såkaldte administrative del med tilstødende garager.
