Det 280 hektar store naturområde Maaswinkel omfatter området mellem Maas, Zuid-Willemsvaart og E314. Centralt ligger en landskabelig og økologisk værdifuld zone med enge, høslætter, levende hegn, marker og buske. Landskabet i flodbredderne er biologisk vigtigt på grund af den varierede plante- og dyreliv. Især planter med en præference for vand trives her. Den regelmæssige oversvømmelse af flodbredderne med Maas-vand sikrer, at jorden er rig på næringsstoffer.
