Ludvina-korset blev oprettet i 1782 i det belgiske Brakelbos til minde om Ludvina Bruggelinck, en 21-årig pige fra Bosstraat, som blev myrdet på dette sted i skoven den 16. juni 1738. Der cirkulerer forskellige historier om denne mord.
Jean Baptist Van Loo, sognepræst i Opbrakel i slutningen af det 19. århundrede, skrev i sine Opbrakelse blandinger: Ifølge folketraditionen skulle dette gruopvækkende faktum være forårsaget af en forbipasserende rytter, der, drevet af en ussel vrede, skulle have antastet datteren, mens hun var i gang med at høste græs.
