Den kommunale børnegård ‘Barelhoeve’, som officielt blev åbnet for offentligheden i 1974, er vokset ud af en eksisterende mælkeproduktion. Du kan derfor stadig opleve livet på en ægte gård her. Du finder et museum med gamle landbrugsredskaber, forskellige gør-det-selv og læringsstier samt en gårdbutik med lækre, friske gårdprodukter!
Vil du give gården et unikt besøg? Så er fortællerruten et must! Lowieke, hovedpersonen, tager dig med rundt til alle dyrenes hjem i en spændende historie. Du kan læse denne historie på de seksten skure, der er opstillet langs en rute på 1,5 kilometer. Hver skur har et sanseleg og en quiz for børn. Der står også fakta om området og dyrespor. Et must!
