Den kendte og vigtige ardennerske flod Ourthe dannes ved samløbet af den Vestlige og den Østlige Ourthe. Dette samløb er dæmmet op og danner således Nisramont dæmningen. Den Vestlige Ourthe udspringer nær Libramont, flyder i nordøstlig retning mod Amberloup og videre til Lavacherie, hvor den for alvor trænger ind i de store skove mellem Saint-Hubert og La Roche-en-Ardenne.
