Köthen eller Kothin er en beboet del af kommunen i byen Märkisch Buchholz i Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald.
Stedet ligger knap 5 km luftlinje sydøst for Märkisch Buchholz ved søbredden af Köthener See i biosfærereservatet Spreewald. Området grænser mod nord til området Groß Wasserburg, områderne i byen Märkisch Buchholz og til området Birkholz, mod øst til området Leibsch og mod syd og vest igen til området Groß Wasserburg. Stedet kan kun nås via to små forbindelsesveje fra Groß Wasserburg og Märkisch Buchholz. Vejen ind til byens centrum er en blind vej.
