Klein Schauen ligger ved L391 mellem Philadelphia og Görsdorf b. Storkow nær Grunewaldsøen. Ved byens rand løber Mühlenfließ, der markerer grænsen til bydelen Busch og flyder ud i Wolziger See.
Den rundformede by blev hovedsageligt beboet af bønder, hvis gårde grupperede sig omkring en gård. Indtil midten af det sidste århundrede blev gården brugt som planteskole og frugtplantage. I nærheden af den daværende godsgård ligger i dag forsamlingshuset. Den ældste bygning i byen er et bolighus af marksten, hvis alder skønnes at være 150 år.
