Klein Schauen is located on the L391 between Philadelphia and Görsdorf near Storkow, close to Lake Grunewald. At the edge of the village flows the Mühlenfließ, which marks the border to the district of Busch and flows into Lake Wolzig.
The village, designed as a round village, was mainly inhabited by farmers whose homesteads were grouped around an estate. Until the middle of the last century, the estate was used as a nursery and tree nursery. Near the former manor house, today stands the village community center. The oldest building in the village is a residential house made of field stones, estimated to be 150 years old.
