Ifølge folketællingen boede der i århundreder en familie ved navn Doblas, som var berømte sølvsmede.
I dette torv var der en beateriet grundlagt af Beatriz de Córdoba, Nuestra Señora de la Piedad, som blev opløst på en ubestemt dato.
Fontænen på Doblas-pladsen stammer fra 1944 og blev designet af arkitekten Víctor Escribano Ucelay.
Det består af en vandtrug af sten fra Sierra Elvira, med en buet sektion og lav højde (35 cm), som gør, at vandet, der strømmer fra en central fontæne, flyder over i det omliggende vandtrug. Belægningen omkring er i kinesisk cordovansk stil, med planter, der fylder åbningerne i jorden, hvilket giver helheden en diskret og privat atmosfære.
