Pagax-slot er beliggende i den tidligere provins Rouergue og grænsen til den nærliggende Quercy. Det dominerer Lot-dalen fra højderne af landsbyen Flagnac i Aveyron. Dets arkitektur er typisk for fæstningerne fra det 12. og 13. århundrede, med en firkantet bygning der hæver sig over tre etager over en blind stueetage, flankeret af fire massive hjørnetårne forbundet af machicolis.
