Højt over dalen med floderne Graine og Vayres ligger Château Rochechouart, som siden 1985 har været hjemsted for Musée d'Art Contemporain i Haute-Vienne. Landskab, historie og fantasi er de tre store temaer, der var i fokus, da denne institution blev grundlagt af rådet i Haute-Vienne. I en bemærkelsesværdig bygning fra det 15. århundrede har dialogen mellem kulturarv og nutidig kunst muliggjort opbygningen af en international samling af nutidig kunst samt realiseringen af værker, der er specifikt tilpasset stedet. Med oprettelsen af Raoul-Hausmann-fonden (600 værker og adskillige arkiver) i 1989 fandt museet sin værge i den berømte Dadaist.
