Kefalonia er hjemsted for Saristra-festivalen, en årlig begivenhed for fans af indie- og elektronisk musik. Festivalen, der blev lanceret i 2012, er blevet en fast tradition og afholdes i ruinerne af den bjergrige landsby Palia Vlachata, som blev forladt efter, at den blev alvorligt beskadiget i det jordskælv, der jævntede meget af øen i 1953.
