De Veluwe er det største skovområde i Holland. Store dele af Veluwe består af moræner, der blev presset op af gletsjere fra den forrige istid (Saale-istiden). Isens kraft kan forstås lidt bedre, hvis du kigger på det højeste punkt, Rozendaalsche veld. Dette er lig med den højeste moræne i Holland og det højeste punkt i Holland uden for Sydlimburg. Det ligger 110 meter over havets overflade. Dette punkt er en del af Nationalpark Veluwezoom, lige nord for Rheden. I nord ligger blandt andet klitområdet Leuvenhorst og Leuvenumskoven.
