Naardertrekvaart ligger mellem Muiden og Naarden. Trekkanalen blev gravet i 1641 på seks uger og kostede cirka 240.000 guld. Omkostningerne blev dækket af Muiden, Naarden og Amsterdam. Der blev opretholdt en regelmæssig trekskibsservice på trekkanalen i to århundreder. Med ankomsten af jernbanen og en sporvognslinje i slutningen af det 19. århundrede mistede trekkanalen sin status som transportvej.
