Amsterdam – Rhinen kanalen er, som navnet antyder, en kanal, der forbinder Amsterdam med floden Rhinen. Den forbinder havnene i Amsterdam med Ruhr-industriområdet og er den travleste kanal i verden. Den er 72 kilometer lang, 100 til 120 meter bred og har en dybde på 6 meter. Lige før Anden Verdenskrig blev det besluttet, at kanalen skulle bygges, men dens konstruktion blev først færdiggjort i 1952.
