I væggen af den hulrum vej kan vandrere opdage en sjælden aflejring af mørkegrønne til sorte korn. Det er Vaalser grøn sand, der gør væggen på dette sted en smule grøn. Den grønne farve kommer fra mineralet glaukonit, der engang blev afsat her, da Sydlimburg stadig var under vand. Vandrere, der er heldige, kan også opdage fossiler her.
