Nella parete della strada scavata, i camminatori possono scoprire un deposito raro di granelli che vanno dal verde scuro al nero. Si tratta di sabbia verde di Vaals che rende la parete di questo luogo leggermente verde. Il colore verde deriva dal minerale glauconite, depositato qui quando il Sud-Limburgo era ancora sommerso. I camminatori fortunati possono trovare anche fossili.
