Fra Noorderkade har vi udsigt over den stemningsfulde havn i Blokzijl. Mange fritidsbåde lægger til her, og også større turistbåde lægger regelmæssigt til i Blokzijl som et mellemstop. På kajen i centrum sker der altid noget spændende. I museet Gildenhuys i Kerkstraat vises en film om Blokzijls historie. Filmen viser en gåtur gennem byen, hvor billeder fra nutid og fortid veksler, en sær men sjov tilgang.
