Von der Noorderkade aus haben wir Sicht auf den stimmungsvollen Hafen von Blokzijl. Viele Freizeitboote legen hier an, und auch größere Rundfahrtboote halten regelmäßig in Blokzijl als Zwischenstop. An der Promenade im Zentrum gibt es immer etwas zu erleben. Im Museum het Gildenhuys in der Kerkstraße wird ein Film über die Geschichte von Blokzijl gezeigt. Der Film zeigt einen Spaziergang durch die Stadt, bei dem Bilder aus Gegenwart und Vergangenheit sich abwechseln, eine besondere, aber schöne Herangehensweise.
