Vanaf de Noorderkade hebben we zicht op de stemmige haven van Blokzijl. Heel wat pleziervaartuigen meren hier aan, en ook grotere rondvaartboten doen Blokzijl regelmatig aan als tussenstop. Op de kade in het centrum valt altijd wel iets te beleven. In het museum het Gildenhuys in de Kerkstraat wordt een film vertoont over de geschiedenis van Blokzijl. De film toont een wandeling door de stad waarbij beelden uit heden en verleden elkaar afwisselen, een aparte maar leuke benadering.
