Busten af Alberto Cruz blev indviet den 29. januar 1963 og blev rejst som en hyldest til den berømte Bracaran Alberto Cruz og placeret i Largo da Senhora-a-Branca.

Alberto Cruz blev født den 25. januar 1890 og døde den 7. oktober 1961. Han var læge og kirurg fra Braga, arbejdede på S. Marcos Hospital og blev betragtet som en stor forsvarer af Miño-regionens interesser . Desuden var han aktiv som politiker i flere valgperioder og var suppleant for Braga i Landsmødet.

Bronzebusten af billedhuggeren António Carlos Vila-Chã Esteves repræsenterer Alberto Cruz stående på en rektangulær granitbund. Der er tre inskriptioner på siderne: på den ene side "* 25-1-1890" og på den anden side "+ 7-10-1961", efterfulgt af inskriptionen "FRA HPOIT". Sokkelen hviler på en rektangulær granitbund med inskriptionen "A ALBERTO CREU MEDIC I SURGERY INSIGNE BRACARENSE I VIGOROUS DEFENDER DOS INTERESSITS DÓNA REGIÓ MINHOTA" på forsiden.
