El busto de Alberto Cruz, inaugurado el 29 de enero de 1963 , fue erigido como homenaje al célebre Bracaran Alberto Cruz y colocado en el Largo da Senhora-A-Branca.
Alberto Cruz nació el 25 de enero de 1890 y murió el 7 de octubre de 1961. Fue médico y cirujano de Braga, trabajó en el Hospital S. Marcos y fue considerado un gran defensor de los intereses de la región del Miño . También fue político durante varias legislaturas y diputado a la Asamblea Nacional por Braga.
El busto de bronce , obra del escultor António Carlos Vila-Chã Esteves, representa a Alberto Cruz de pie sobre un pedestal rectangular de granito, con tres inscripciones en los laterales, en un lado "* 25-1-1890" y en el otro lado "+ 7-10-1961", seguidas de la inscripción "DONDE ESTÁ EL AMOR DE LA HUMANIDAD, ESTÁ EL AMOR DEL ARTE DE HIPÓCRATES". El pedestal reposa sobre una base rectangular de granito con la inscripción "A ALBERTO CRUZ MÉDICO E CIRURGIÃO INSIGNE BRACARENSE E VIGOROUS DEFENSOR DOS INTERESITOS DA REGION MINHOTA" en el frente.
