De buste van Alberto Cruz, ingehuldigd op 29 januari 1963, werd opgericht als eerbetoon aan de beroemde Bracaran Alberto Cruz en geplaatst in Largo da Senhora-A-Branca.
Alberto Cruz werd geboren op 25 januari 1890 en stierf op 07 oktober 1961. Hij was arts en chirurg uit Braga, werkte in het S. Marcos Ziekenhuis en werd beschouwd als een groot voorvechter van de belangen van de regio Minho. Hij was ook politicus gedurende verschillende parlementaire termijnen en lid van de Nationale Assemblee voor Braga.
De bronzen buste, ontworpen door de beeldhouwer António Carlos Vila-Chã Esteves, stelt Alberto Cruz voor, staand op een rechthoekige granieten sokkel, met drie inscripties aan de zijkanten, aan de ene kant "* 25-1-1890" en aan de andere kant "+ 7-10-1961", gevolgd door de inscriptie "WAAR DE LIEFDE VAN DE MENS IS DAAR IS DE LIEFDE VAN DE KUNST VAN HIPPOCRATES". De sokkel rust op een rechthoekige granieten voet met aan de voorkant de inscriptie "TO ALBERTO CRUZ MÉDICO E CIRURGIÃO INSIGNE BRACARENSE E VIGOROUS DEFENSOR DOS INTERESITOS DA REGIÃO MINHOTA".
