Die Sint-Martinuskerk ist die Pfarrkirche des zur Ostflämischen Gemeinde Lievegem gehörenden Ortes Lovendegem, gelegen an Dorp.
Im Jahr 1140 wurde erstmals von einem Kirchengebäude in Lovendegem berichtet. Während des Bildersturms wurde die Kirche größtenteils zerstört und 1616 war der Wiederaufbau abgeschlossen, durchgeführt von Jan und Robrecht Persyns. Die Kirche war abhängig vom Gentse Sint-Pietersabdij. Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts wurde der Turm restauriert und 1770 wurde eine Sakristei angebaut. 1788 wurde die Kirche in westlicher Richtung um drei Joche erweitert. 1822 wurde der Chor nach Entwurf von J.B. Van de Cappelle neu erbaut. 1896-1897 wurde die Kirche umfassend im neogotischen Stil restauriert, wobei ein Portal, Seitenkapellen und ein Querschiff hinzugefügt wurden.
