Der Kanal nach Beverlo sollte den Kanal Bocholt-Herentals mit dem Lager Beverlo verbinden, aber der Kanal endet kurz vor dem Zentrum von Leopoldsburg. Der 15 Kilometer lange Kanal wurde zwischen 1857 und 1859 gegraben, erreichte jedoch nicht weit genug. Der Kanal ist nur für den Tourismus von Bedeutung: Die Wasserfreizeit blüht, und Radfahrer genießen die Natur entlang des idyllischen Ufers.
