Il Canale verso Beverlo doveva collegare il canale Bocholt-Herentals con il campo di Beverlo, ma il canale finisce vicino al centro di Leopoldsburg. Il canale lungo 15 chilometri è stato scavato tra il 1857 e il 1859, ma quindi non ha raggiunto una distanza sufficiente. Il canale è importante solo per il turismo: la ricreazione acquatica fiorisce e gli amanti delle biciclette godono della natura lungo l'idilliaca riva dell'acqua.
