Het Kanaal naar Beverlo moest het kanaal Bocholt-Herentals verbinden met het kamp van Beverlo, maar het kanaal loopt dood vlak bij het centrum van Leopoldsburg. Het 15 kilometer lange kanaal werd gegraven tussen 1857 en 1859, maar reikte dus niet ver genoeg. Het kanaal is alleen van belang voor het toerisme: de waterrecreatie bloeit en fietsliefhebbers genieten van de natuur langs de idyllische waterkant.
