Sart-Saint-Laurent ist ein Dorf im Gebiet Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse an der Straße von Namur nach Châtelet. Es gehört heute zu Fosses-la-Ville in der Provinz Namur. Es war eine eigenständige Gemeinde, bevor 1977 die Gemeindefusion stattfand.
Am Rande des Waldes von Haute Marlagne gelegen, wurde der Ort von Holzfällern gerodet und urbar gemacht, insbesondere zu Beginn des 12. Jahrhunderts, als der Bau der Abtei Floreffe durch den heiligen Norbert, unterstützt von Hugo von Fosses, 1221 viel Holz erforderte.
