Historisch und architektonisch ist die Sankt-Quintinus-Kirche romanisch; der untere Teil des Turmes ist der älteste (1200). Der Rest wurde um 1450 von Mathieu de Layens gebaut; in seiner jetzigen Darbietung wird der Bau unter die brabantische Spätgotik eingeordnet.
Der Chor wurde 1453, das Schiff 1535 fertig gestellt. Erst 1900 wurde unter der Leitung des Architekten Langerock die Turmspitze aufgesetzt.
Das Innere wird durch Beichtstühle aus dem 18. Jh. und mehrere Gemälde von Jozef Verhaeghen geschmückt; im nördlichen Querschiff befindet sich eine ‚Jungfrau mit dem Kinde und der Heiligen Anna’ von Gaspar de Crayer. Die Orgel (1786) ist von Van Peteghem und stammt aus dem unweit der Sankt-Michaelskirche gelegenen Papstkolleg.
