Der älteste erhaltene Teil des früh im 12. Jahrhundert gegründeten Benediktinerinnenklosters ist das gotische Spitzbogenportal an der Minneveldstraße. Es enthält noch das ursprüngliche Eichenholztor, das mit schmiedeeisernen Bändern und Nägeln beschlagen ist. Das Sandsteinportalgebäude wurde im 18. Jahrhundert und vielleicht auch noch im 19. Jahrhundert erweitert und in Ziegeln umgebaut. Im 19. Jahrhundert war es eine Zeit lang als Rathaus in Gebrauch. Im Kloster wurde 1312 das berühmte 'Charter von Kortenberg' von Herzog Johann II. unterzeichnet.
