Die Huwynsbossen sind ein 33 Hektar großer Domänenwald und liegen auf einem 49 Meter hohen Hügelkamm, der das IJzerbeckeneinzugsgebiet und das Scheldeeinzugsgebiet trennt. Der Wald liegt in der westflämischen Gemeinde Lichtervelde.
Der junge Wald bietet ein Panorama über die flämische Sandregion und das Houtland. Er ist ständig geöffnet und verfügt über Parkplätze, einen Picknickplatz, eine Haltestelle des Rufbusses, einen Wanderweg und eine Mountainbikestrecke, eine Vogelzählstelle "Heihoek", einen Spielwald und einen Reitweg.
