Ein Überrest der früheren intensiven Landwirtschaftsaktivitäten (die Maraîchers) ist noch sichtbar an der Hoevewinkel an der Vogelzangstraße. Das Gemüse, das dort angebaut wird, ist ein Pilotprojekt von Graines de Paysans (www.espaces-test.be), um die alten landwirtschaftlichen Aktivitäten wiederzubeleben. So versucht man, die Verbindung zwischen den Erzeugern rund um die Stadt und ihren Einwohnern wiederherzustellen, auch wenn es im kleinen Maßstab ist. Ihre verschiedenen Geländeaktivitäten finden Sie an der Steenuiltjesweg, westlich von der Mijlemeershoeve.
