Fort Sint-Jan war ein Fort bei Trompwal zwischen Kemzeke und Kapellebrug auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Stekene. Das Fort war Teil der Staats-Spanish Linien.
Das Fort Sint-Jan wurde in der Folge der Entwicklungen in den Anfangsjahren des Achtzigjährigen Krieges erbaut, als Gent und Antwerpen sich 1579 der Union von Utrecht anschlossen. 1583 hatten die Staatsen zudem die Deiche bei Saaftinge durchstochen. Als Reaktion darauf ließ Parma Forts errichten und eine Schiffbrücke über die Schelde bauen, um die Versorgung von Antwerpen zu verhindern. Vom Fort Sint-Jan aus wurde der Parmakanal in das überflutete Gebiet gegraben. So war man sich der Schifffahrtsverbindungen nach Gent und Hulst sicher.
