Auf dem städtischen Friedhof im Zentrum von Veurne befindet sich ein französisches Massengrab. Rund 80 französische Soldaten sind hier begraben. Auf diesem Friedhof findest du auch ein französisches Ehrenfeld mit etwa 150 Gräbern. Zwischen den französischen Kreuzchen stehen auch 8 arabische Grabsteine. Hier kannst du auch das Grab von Karel Cogge finden. Er spielte eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Überflutung der IJzervlakte im Jahr 1914.
