Das Gemeindehaus von Houthulst wurde im flämischen Stil erbaut und stammt aus dem Jahr 1935. Der Architekt hierfür ist Viérin, der gleiche wie der der Kirche von Houthulst. Das allererste Gemeindehaus war einst eine Herberge.
Houthulst wurde 1928 eine eigenständige Gemeinde. Es dauerte jedoch bis 1936, bis das Gemeindehaus eingeweiht wurde.
