Neben der Fondatie van Boudelo liegt die Heirnisse, ein Naturschutzgebiet, das von der Agentur für Natur und Wald verwaltet wird. Im Wald, der hier links von dem Radweg liegt, wachsen unter anderem die rauhe Birke, die Haselnuss, die amerikanische Eiche und der gewöhnliche Ahorn. Zwischen dem Radweg und dem Wald sieht man einen Grasstreifen, in dem verschiedene Kräuter wachsen, darunter die echte Kuhschelle.
