Der Güterbahnhof aus dem Jahr 1906 entstand unter dem Einfluss von Leopold II und ist ein repräsentatives Gebäude aus Ziegel, Naturstein, Stahl und Glas. Über dem Eingang wacht der römische Gott des Handels, Merkur. Auf dem Höhepunkt in den 60er Jahren arbeiteten dort 3000 Personen. Als 2000 die letzten logistischen Aktivitäten eingestellt wurden, dachte man über eine Umnutzung nach. Das Musikfestival Couleur Café fand dort einen Platz und die Immobilienfirma Extensa, die der neue Eigentümer ist, entschied, das Gebäude zu restaurieren, Messen, Feiern, Festivals darin zu organisieren und Büros unterzubringen.
