Jacques und Annie blicken aus ihrem Wohnzimmer auf den Weinberg. Dieser liegt auf einem halben Hektar sandig-lehmigem Boden mit leichter Neigung nach Westen und am Südhang im Tal des Dorfes. Im Jahr 2013 produzierten sie zum ersten Mal einige vielversprechende Weine, darunter den Pinot Auxerrois. Das heuvelländische Weingut De Vallei arbeitet vollständig nach biologisch-dynamischen Grundsätzen.
