Duinbergen ist ein Stadtteil der Gemeinde Knokke-Heist in Westflandern und ein bekannter Badeort in Belgien. Im Gegensatz zu Knokke zeichnet sich Duinbergen durch viele charakteristische Villen und wenige Geschäfte aus. Duinbergen gehört zur Teilgemeinde Heist. Vor 1900 war das Gebiet zwischen Heist und Knokke unbebaut. Um 1900 wurden Pläne gemacht, um diesem Gebiet eine touristische Funktion zu geben. Der deutsche Urbanist und Architekt Hermann-Josef Stübben erhielt den Auftrag, die Konzession Duinbergen zu gestalten. Dafür wurden später auch zwei Organisationen gegründet: die Société de Duinbergen im Jahr 1901 und die Gesellschaft Knocke-Duinbergen-Extensions.
