Das Werk „Vélo-droom“ von Jan Clement aus dem Jahr 2018 greift auf die inzwischen 2 verschwundenen Velodrome (Radrennbahnen) zurück, über die Liedekerke zwischen 1919 und 1955 verfügte. 1919 wurde zwischen der heutigen Velodroomstraat, der Sint-Gabriëlstraat, der heutigen Nieuwstraat und der Bombardonstraat die erste Liedekerker Zement-Velodrome eröffnet. Sie gab Radsportfans die Möglichkeit, sich von der Menge anfeuern zu lassen und sich miteinander zu messen. Eine zweite Velodrome wurde (nach dem Abbruch der ersten Rennbahn im Jahr 1933) 20 Meter von der ersten in 1946 gebaut und 1955 wieder abgerissen. Die 2 Rennfahrer sind aus rostfreiem Stahl gefertigt, wofür Jan mit dem Liedekerker Metallunternehmen Lippens zusammenarbeitete.
