La obra ‘Vélo-droom’, de Jan Clement de 2018, hace referencia a los 2 velódromos desaparecidos (pistas de ciclismo) que poseía Liedekerke entre 1919 y 1955. En 1919 se inauguró el 1er velódromo de cemento de Liedekerke entre la actual Velodroomstraat, la Sint-Gabriëlstraat, la actual Nieuwstraat y la Bombardonstraat. Ofreció a los aficionados a la pista de ciclismo la oportunidad de ser animados por el público y competir entre ellos. Un 2º velódromo fue construido (tras la demolición de la 1ª pista en 1933) a 20 metros del 1º en 1946 y fue demolido de nuevo en 1955. Los 2 ciclistas están hechos de acero inoxidable, para lo cual Jan colaboró con la empresa metalúrgica Lippens de Liedekerke.
