Das Assaut-Denkmal (hinten) von Alexandre Daoust stellt die Rückeroberung der Zitadelle durch die Franzosen am 15. August 1914 dar. Genauer gesagt ist es Sergeant Major Bouchez gewidmet, der die deutsche Flagge eroberte, die über der Zitadelle weht.
