Die Burg Falkenstein, früher zeitweilig auch Burg Neuer Falkenstein genannt, ist eine hochmittelalterliche Höhenburg im Harz. Sie gehört zur Gemeinde Falkenstein/Harz im sachsen-anhaltischen Landkreis Harz . Erbaut wurde sie zwischen 1120 und 1180. Die Burg wird von der Kulturstiftung Sachsen-Anhalt als Eigentümer verwaltet.
Die Burg Falkenstein steht im Unterharz im Naturpark Harz. Sie befindet sich zwischen Mägdesprung und Meisdorf auf einem Felsrücken südlich und oberhalb der im Tal der Selke stehenden Thalmühle. In bewaldeter Landschaft ist sie umgeben vom Naturschutzgebiet Selketal etwa 1,3 km westnordwestlich des zwischen den Ortschaften Meisdorf und Pansfelde an der Landesstraße 230 gelegenen Falkensteiner Weilers Gartenhaus.
