Goslar ist eine norddeutsche Stadt und liegt etwa 80 Kilometer südöstlich von Hannover. Die Stadt hat ein gut erhaltenes historisches Zentrum mit einer großen Anzahl von Häusern im typisch mittelalterlichen Holzstil. Goslar war früher eine vollständig ummauerte Stadt, und die vielen imposanten Türme, die die Stadt umgeben, zeugen noch heute davon. Diese werden alle während des Spaziergangs besucht, ebenso wie andere Hingucker wie der Kaizerpalts (die deutschen Kaiser hatten hier einen großen Rückzugsort auf dem Land), die Kathedrale von Goslar, der Marktplatz und eine ganze Reihe anderer schöner Orte.
