Diese Route hat ihren Namen von der Schankweiler Klause. Mit ihrer reichen Barockarchitektur ist sie ein wahres Juwel. Diese Tour kann aber auch als Taltour bezeichnet werden, denn sie bietet aus verschiedenen Perspektiven eindrucksvolle Ausblicke auf das Enz- und Prümtal. Es erstreckt sich zwischen malerischen, skurrilen Gebirgszügen und der für die Südeifel typischen Landschaft mit Obstgärten. Neben den Hopfenfeldern zeugen sie von dem milden Klima, das hier herrscht. Geschichtsinteressierte finden hier auch, wonach sie suchen. Zahlreiche prähistorische und spätere Denkmäler zeugen von einer tausendjährigen Siedlungsgeschichte. Kelten und Römer fühlten sich anscheinend hier sehr wohl und genossen vielleicht schon damals den herrlichen Panoramablick.
