Die Kirche wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 11. Jahrhunderts (sicher in einem Dokument von 1100 erwähnt) am Ufer des Flusses Ter, direkt unterhalb der Halbinsel, die vom Kloster Sant Pere de Casserres eingenommen wurde, jedoch am linken Ufer, in einem Appendix der Gemeinde Santa Maria de Corcó (Osona) errichtet. Sant Vicenç wurde gebaut, um den Gläubigen der Pfarrei zu dienen, die zuvor im Schloss von Casserres existierte, als dieses das neue Kloster von Sant Pere wurde und die bestehende Kirche klösterlich wurde.
Als 1962 der Staudamm von Sau gebaut wurde, wurde die Kirche, die in ein Lager des Hofes Verders umgewandelt wurde, in den Wassermassen versenkt. Ende 1973 und Anfang 1974, nutzend den niedrigen Wasserstand des Stausees, wurde sie Stein für Stein abgebaut und hinter dem Bauernhaus Can Deu (Sabadell) neu errichtet, so wie wir sie heute sehen.
