La chiesa fu eretta durante la seconda metà dell'undicesimo secolo (citata con certezza in un documento nell'anno 1100) lungo il fiume Ter, proprio sotto la penisola occupata dal monastero di San Pietro di Casserres, ma sulla riva sinistra, in un appendice del comune di Santa Maria di Corcó (Osona). San Vicenzo fu costruito per servire i fedeli della parrocchia che era stata nel castello di Casserres, quando questo divenne il nuovo monastero di San Pietro e la chiesa esistente passò a essere monastica. Quando fu costruita la diga di Sau, nell'anno 1962, la chiesa, trasformata in magazzino della mas Verders, rimase sommersa nelle acque. Alla fine dell'anno 1973 e all'inizio del 1974, approfittando del basso livello delle acque dell'invaso, fu smontata pietra per pietra e ricostruita dietro la cascina di Can Deu (Sabadell), come la vediamo oggi.
