Die Kirche des Tabernakels wurde dank des Bulls vom 12. Februar 1488 gegründet. Ursprünglich wurde sie in einer Ecke des Innenhofs der Orangenbäume erbaut, aber im achtzehnten Jahrhundert wurde das Gebäude abgerissen, da es sich in einem schlechten Zustand befand, um ein neues zu errichten, das die für die Kathedrale gefertigte Fassade einbezog. Diese Fassade begann 1514 zu entstehen, die im offiziellen Stil der katholischen Kirche zu dieser Zeit, nämlich im elisabethanischen gotischen Stil, gestaltet werden sollte. Der Autor ist nicht genau bekannt, aber es wird angenommen, dass es entweder Pedro López, Meister der Kathedrale von Jaén, oder Bischof Fuente del Sauce sein könnte. Sie wurde von Bischof Diego Ramírez de Villaescusa de Haro begonnen und von Bischof César Riario vollendet, dessen Wappen und Siegel sich auf dem Deckblatt befinden.
