Die Kirche Santa Maria de l'Alhambra wurde Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts fertiggestellt. Es befindet sich auf dem Gelände der Großen Moschee.
Mit einem lateinischen Kreuzplan und Seitenkapellen sticht der barocke Altaraufsatz mit großen salomonischen Säulen aus dem Jahr 1671 hervor, sowie die Kreuzigung und die großen Statuen der Heiligen Ursula und Susana von Alonso de Mena.
Ihre Schutzpatronin ist das bekannte Bild der Schmerzensreichen Muttergottes von Torcuato Ruiz del Peral, das zwischen 1750 und 1760 angefertigt wurde und das während der Karwoche auf einem der schönsten Throne Granadas mit den Bögen in einer Prozession von diesem Tempel getragen wird des Patio dels Leóns im Relief.
