Das im 12. Jahrhundert erbaute feudale Schloss Bazoches liegt auf halbem Hang eines bewaldeten Hügels an der Stelle eines alten römischen Postens. Es wurde 1675 von Marschall de Vauban dank einer Gratifikation, die ihm Ludwig XIV. gewährte, erworben. Nach seinem Einzug nahm Vauban zahlreiche Umbauten vor und machte die Burg zu einer Militärgarnison. Seine Nachkommen und heutigen Besitzer bewahren sorgfältig zahlreiche Erinnerungsstücke an ihren berühmten Vorfahren auf: Rüstung, Schlafzimmer, Arbeitszimmer, Bibliothek.
